BETHAL – Burglars recently broke into the Zarsa Boutique.
The police noticed that the display window of the shop was broken and it looked as though the suspects gained entry through it.
“I closed the store at 5.30pm and everything was in order,” said Mr Sputnick van der Merwe, the owner.
When he arrived the next morning, he saw all of the stock on the floor.
“I discovered that my display window was broken and that they had stolen clothes worth R20 050.”
The police urged residents to assist them with any information that can lead to the arrest of the criminals.
“The community must not buy things they suspect were stolen, because they are then also guilty of an offence and will be prosecuted,” said Const Thomas Mogadime, communications officer.
