Suspected thief arrested for stealing six goats
Stock theft suspect who escaped, was later arrested.
eMBALENHLE – A 40-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of suspected stolen livestock on 29 September.
He was seen by police officers who were on their daily patrol in the area.
When they stopped him, he jumped out of the car, took the car keys and ran away.
The police found six suspected stolen goats inside the car.
Capt Magonseni Nkosi, police spokesman, said the police knew who the man is.
“We managed to track him down a few hours later,” he said.
The suspected thief will appear in the Evander Magistrate’s Court soon.
