Businessmen and municipality work together

Trichardt gets new road.

TRICHARDT – Residents and the Govan Mbeki Municipality took hands to pave Van Schalkwyk Street.

Local businessmen saw the need for a better road, because when it rained, sand from the gravel road collected in Paul Kruger Street.

Mr Sakhile Kunene initiated the project with businesses that were interested in getting involved.

They donated material and money to enable the workers to begin with the project at the beginning of September.

It took only four weeks for the project to be completed and the road was finished at the beginning of this month.

The businesses involved are Saley’s Cycle Shop, Sabers Curtains, Sabers Audio and Radio, Sams Motors, The Bedshop Trichardt and White House Paints.

Mr Yusuf Pahad from Euro Bath in Trichardt thanked Mr Kunene on behalf of all involved.

“Mr Kunene always made sure that the project stayed on coarse and did not fall behind schedule.

“He did very well and drove the project to a success and even helped physically as well,” said Mr Pahad.
