Man drowns in Kinross Dam

Police divers recover body of unidentified man.

KINROSS – A man of about 40 drowned in Kinross Dam on Friday, 11 December.

He was wearing blue tracksuit pants, a red shirt and black and red nike takkies.

His head was shaved.

His body was recovered on Saturday, 12 December at around 5.30am by the police divers.

Witnesses said they saw him sitting near the dam drinking alcohol and after that he entered the dam and drowned.

The man has not yet been identified and the police request anyone with information to contact the Kinross Police Station at 017 687 1313.
