Taxi association disrupts traffic

It claims that the high number of employees being transported by company, has a negative impact on their business as taxi owners.

BETHAL – Bethal Taxi Association has closed off some roads to eMzinoni, blocking Steinmuller Engineering Services Company from transporting and picking up their employees.

The association claims that the high number of employees being transported by the company, has a negative impact on their business as taxi owners.

Both parties, as well as the police and traffic department had a meeting at the Bethal Town Hall in an attempt to resolve the matter.

Capt Mahlangu, eMzinoni Police Station, proposed that the provincial board of transportation is present to clarify issues.

It was agreed to, but the taxi association said it will continue to close down all operations until the next scheduled meeting.
