SECUNDA – The following was shared on the Secunda 911 Facebook Page.
Apparently scammers phone and claim that they are from Microsoft.
They then tell you that there is a problem on your computer and send a link to your computer which you have to click on to open.
Should you open this link, scammers will be able to access information on you computer.
They also sometimes mention that they are contacting you on behalf of Windows.
A person in Secunda has already been contacted by one of these scammers who said he was phoning from Johannesburg.
The caller ID was 058 754 554
Do not share any information with these scammers.
