Another incident occurred on the R39 stop-and-go point between Standerton and Ermelo on 17 February.

A vehicle travelling towards Standerton got stuck in the mud on the detours on the side of the road.

According to Dreykon Klus Civils, they will send out a grader to work on the detours.

They said they will ensure that material is used that does not cause the detours to be slippery when it rains.

According to a motorist, operators at the control points also opened the traffic both ways which caused confusion and fortunately did not end up in an accident happening.
