Body found in Pet Dam

The body of an unidentified woman was found floating on the Pet Dam early this morning.

According to an eye witness she saw something floating on the water at the far end of the dam.

Only when the wind blew it closer did she realise that it was a body floating on the water and contacted the police immediately.

A member of the police diving unit retrieved the body.

Circumstances surrounding the cause of death are still unknown and police are investigating.
