Power interruptions for Bethal and eMzinoni

Govan Mbeki Municipality said Bethal and eMzinoni will have power interruptions from 26 February to 31 May.
This is due to the replacement of critical poles by the municipal Department of Technical Services Electricity through a service provider.
The interruptions will only be on the transformers zones that have poles that must be replaced urgently.
This project will affect the following areas and may extend to other areas:
- eMzinoni Ext 4, 5, 6
- EH
- Cow Village
- Chris Hani
- Azapho
- Kanana
- Old Township and Bethal Town
During this period, people must treat the supply as live at all times and protect their sensitive loads/electrical apparatus.
The municipality asked that residents allow the service provider access to their yards in cases where the poles are inside their yards.
The municipality said it will not be held liable for any damages occurred to electrical appliances during this period.
