Residents in Florapark at wits’ end

“We are worried that the children might fall into the hole,”

Residents in Karee Street in Florapark have raised concerns about a water leak that has been going on for more than a year.

According to them, the water pressure in their houses is low because of the leak.

They claimed that they have reported the issue to the Lekwa Municipality, but did not receive any help.

One of the residents said municipal employees recently dug up a hole where the water is leaking and left it open.

She also said they did not fix the leak afterwards and did not barricade the area with tape.
