Residents are in the dark about the planned power cuts in Lekwa.
Ms Thando Skosana, communications practitioner in the Mpumalanga operating unit of Eskom, said on a previous occasion that the final decision will be communicated in the week of 22 March, after taking into consideration all the submissions made.
The whole issue stems from the municipality not honouring the repayment agreement since October last year.
The DA voiced their concern about the repayment plan in 2015 when it was presented to council and voted against it.
The municipality signed an agreement with Eskom last year to make monthly payments to service its debt.
According to Eskom, the municipality owes the utility more than R206-million which has been outstanding and escalating since 2011.
