Sakhile residents were left without water the whole of last weekend after a pipe in Marais Street in Sharpeville burst again.
Taps ran dry and the community waited patiently for the water trucks, but they only delivered the water on Sunday 28 February.
Some of them did not get water because there were too many people and the water was not sufficient.
The water was back on again in some areas in Sakhile on 28 February.
However, the water pressure was extremely low.
The water supply was cut off again later the same day in some areas and some residents were still without water on 29 February.
“The Lekwa Municipality does not communicate with the community about problems with the water supply nor notify them that they will send out water trucks,” Ms Angel Khanyile, DA councillor, said.
