
HIGHVELD – Govan Mbeki Municipality is inviting the public to IDP and Budget consultation meetings that will be held in all 32 wards that falls within the jurisdiction of the municipality.
The community must attend these meetings as they will be given an opportunity to meet with the political leadership and administrative staff of the municipality, during which issues of service delivery according to their needs will be discussed and what the next draft budget will entail as per the Municipal Finance Management Act.
The municipal spokesman, Mr Bheki Kubheka, said these meetings are important processes that allows the municipality to plan the development of their municipality in a systematic and integrated manner while making sure that the people benefit if the plan is implemented.
He further said that should there be any changes, the municipality will notify the public through its social media, notices, SMSs and hailing.
These are the dates and venues:
* 6 April at 5pm: Raymond Mavuso Hall (Ward 24, 26 and 27), Maphala Gulube Primary School (Ward 10 and 31), eMzinoni Ext 13, 22 and 23 grounds (Ward 26 and 28) and Kinross Ext 25 Municipal Offices (Ward 16).
Thursday, 7 April they will be at Embalenhle South Hall (ward 12,14 & and part of 8), Charl Cilliers (ward 10), Basil Read Ground Emzinoni ( ward 22 & 23)and Sibongile Ndamase Hall (ward 9, 11 & 20) at 5pm for both venues.
* 8 April at 5pm: Difa Nkosi Hall (Ward 1, 3 and 6), RDP Hall (Ward 2), Pastor Seake Church eMbalenhle Ext 11 (Ward 19 and 32) and Lifalethu School (Ward 7).
* 10 April at 10am: Bethal Farms Town Hall (Ward 15), Leandra Farms Moedverloren Farm (Ward 1), Leeuwpan Farm and Roodebank Store (Ward 19).
* 11 April at 5pm: Kinross Golf Club (Ward 1 and 16), Kinross Sasol Club (Ward 16), KI Thwala Primary School (Ward 19 and 13) and Vukuzithathe Primary School (Ward 8 and 13).
* 12 April at 5pm: Ext 17 Offices (Ward 10 and 31), Kgotso Lapa (Ward 29 and 32), eMbalenhle Primary School (ward 4 and19), Chief Ampie Mayisa School (Ward 3) and Thusong Centre Leandra (Ward 1).
* 13 April at 6pm: GS College Evander (Ward 17 and 18), Lilian Ngoyi Centre Secunda (Ward 5, 21, 25 and 30 and part of Ward 18) and Bethal Town Hall (Ward 15 and 28).
