Motorists have raised concerns about the paving bricks that were removed in Nelson Mandela Drive when the Lekwa Municipality was repairing a leaking pipe.
They dug up a hole on the road to access the pipe and repaired it, but left the paving bricks that were on the surface next to the road.
They placed a yellow water and sanitation board in the area where the bricks were removed.
As a result motorists can not drive on the left hand side of the road, but have to drive in the middle of the road.
The bricks have been laying on the side of the road for weeks now and it is unclear whether the municipality will put them back or not.
The municipality could not comment at the time of going to press.
Ms Thobeka Mtshiselwa, acting communications manager, said she is still waiting for the relevant department to respond.
