Heavy load destined for Sasol tips over
Traffic from Secunda to Evander disrupted.
SECUNDA – A large tank destined for the Sasol Secunda complex and being transported by Mammoet, a heavy transport contractor, tipped over at the intersection leading into Secunda yesterday morning.
The head of Group Media Communication of Sasol, Mr Alex Anderson, said the main priority for Sasol was to ensure the safety of all involved.
On Friday morning it was still unclear what had caused the accident.
The road between Secunda and Evander was closed Friday night as emergency services were working to clean the area.
An investigation is underway.
