The Lekwa Municipality has fixed the sewage spill next to the bridge in Nelson Mandela Drive.
The overwhelming stench is now a thing of the past.
Pedestrians can also walk freely in Muller Street without jumping over pools of sewage that accumulated in the area after flowing underneath the bridge.
In the Standerton Advertiser published on 8 April it was indicated that pedestrians needed to tread carefully when passing over the pools of sewage.
