Road between Standerton and Ermelo complete

The project that began in February 2015 also provided locals with employment

The construction of the R39 Road between Standerton and Ermelo is complete.

According to Dreykon Klus Civils, they completed the construction ahead of time because the actual completion date was August.

The project that began in February 2015 also provided locals with employment and six local companies were appointed as sub-contractors.

“These companies were installing gabion, doing road markings, controlling traffic, constructing stone pitching, installing edge beams and constructing head walls,” Mr David Jakwe of Dreykon Klus Civils said.

According to him, a company named Actophambili did the asphalt (a mixture of dark sand or gravel, used for surfacing roads).

Although the construction of the road made some motorists unhappy, Dreykon Klus Civils assured them that they will finish before the deadline.
