Community needs businesses’ help to get parkrun off the ground in Evander

Help to put rails up on bridges on planned parkrun route.

Noel Daniels, the event director who came up with the idea to start a parkrun in Evander, urged businesses and construction companies to support this initiative.

The organisers of the initiative are appealing to companies for assistance in installing concrete safety rails at the bridges along the planned parkrun route.

“Their support is an important part in the completion of this project and to get the parkrun off the ground,” said Daniels.

There are three footbridges along the planned route where concrete or steel handrails are required to improve safety for participants.

If you want to help or support this project, get involved, contact Daniels at 078 099 4214.
