Man left for dead on Amersfoort Road

According to a passerby, his employer was taking him home after work when they saw the man.

A man was recently left for dead on the Amersfoort Road after an alleged hit and run.

He had injuries to the head and there was a bicycle next to him.

According to a passerby, his employer was taking him home after work when they saw the man.

The residents, who live close to the area, said they always saw him on his bicycle on his way to and from work.

Kasselman Security Services and the Standerton Police were on the scene

According to Lt Fanie Nhlabathi, communications officer of the Standerton Police, the police have opened an inquest docket.

He said he was unsure of what happened, because there were no eyewitnesses.

The name of the deceased is not yet known.
