Oil spill causes road hazard

Local emergency services are on scene directing traffic.

SECUNDA – Approximately 60 litres of hydrolic oil has spilled onto the road at the intersection of Walter Sisulu Drive and Charl Cilliers Street.

The fire department and Sasol’s hazardous material clean-up crews have been contacted, but have not yet arrived on the scene.

According to eyewitnesses, two motorists have struggled to remain in control of their vehicles due to the slippery road surface, and motorists are urged to slow down when they approach the area.
