29-year-old woman murdered in Kinross

A hammer and a crowbar were found in front of the door.

KINROSS – Residents of Ext 21 were horrified by the death of a 29-year-old woman who was found dead Sunday, 4 December morning.

Ms Lucy Cumbi was well-known in the community and was also an employee of Kinross Market.

Kinross Police said a murder case was opened, but the suspect is still at large.

The deceased sustained several stab wounds.

A hammer and a crowbar were found in front of the door.

The door handle was broken and blood was traced from the bedroom to the outside where the deceased had fallen.

Kinross residents described Ms Cumbi as someone who was very friendly towards everyone.

The police said the reason behind the murder is still unknown and urged anyone with information that can lead to the successful arrest of the murderer, to contact them at 017 687 1313.
