
Rooikoppen residents have raised concerns about holes that contractors dug and left open.
Lekwa Municipality appointed them to fix the sewer network.
According to them, the holes are deep and due to the rain, they are filled up with water.
Residents fear that these holes pose a risk to their children who can either fall into the holes and get injured or perhaps drown.
They said they were told that the contractor would put an end to the sewage woes they have been experiencing.
“They left us without water, I had to pay a plumber to fix the issue,” Ms Gladys Mosia, a resident said.
