UPDATE: KINROSS – A group of residents attempted to break into the tavern but were disturbed by the police’s arrival.
The door was already taken out and they ran away when they saw the police cars.
The owner decided to load all the liquor and close the tavern until further notice.
The woman who is said to be the owner, said she will meet with the residents today to listen to their plight. She also promised to carry all the burial costs of the teenage boy.
Residents also mentioned that they are aware that Waquancha outlet, which is not far from Robert Tavern, does not have a liquor licence, but the police are doing nothing about it.
They blame the police of taking bribes while people are dying.

KINROSS: Residents are up in arms over the death of a 17-year-old boy.
It was alleged that the boy was severely beaten by Robert Tavern Security guards on Friday night, 16 December.
Eyewitnesses said he was outside the tavern when the security guards mistook him for someone they considered to be a troublemaker.
He was allegedly also beaten with a knobkerrie.
His cousin who was inside the tavern, was called and he took him home without realising that he was severely injured and put him in bed to sleep.
His parents were shocked when they woke up and found that their son had died.
Residents took to the street and marched to Robert Tavern to get answers for why people die in his tavern every weekend, but no one has ever been arrested.
Those who drink at the tavern said the security people wear balaclavas to avoid being recognised.
“Once one gets stabbed inside the tarvern, they took him outside to die there to avoid accountability,” said one of the tavern customers.
One woman said her son was also beaten by the security while walking on the street and they left him disabled, but no one was arrested.
Residents want to know why the police released the people who were arrested on Saturday after the death of the teenager.
They also want to know who the owner of the tavern is, because it was alleged that a well known figure was the owner.
Kinross Police confirmed that a 17-year-old teenager was found dead from head injuries and that no one was arrested due to a lack of witnesses.
They urged people with information that can lead to a successful arrest, to come forward.
