KINROSS – Residents are tired of the criminals who are terrorising the community by breaking into their homes.
The residents of Thistle Grove said the suspects are known by the community.
A resident whose house was broken into several times, said they broke into his house during the day and the last incident was in December during which they stole his Trellidor and a whole shower.
“I checked the foot prints, because it was after rain and it was easy to follow them.
“When I approached the two suspects mother, she defended them and said her children do not steal.”
He said they do not enter his yard through the gate, but jump the fence and steal and throw their stolen items through the fence into their yard.
The man called the police, but alleged that they refused to search the house of the suspected young men.
“The police said they want to catch them in the action and I know it will be impossible, because when we call them they do not arrive on time.
“I asked them why they always say we must report suspicious people, when they do nothing when we report someone.”
Another woman who stays in the area also confirmed that the two young men have been troubling the community and she also approached their mother after she saw them running from her house, but the mother protected her children.
The community of Thistle Grove sent a final warning to the mother, because once they catch the siblings, they will not call the police but will deal with the men.
Kinross Station Commander, Capt Gerhard Elmes, said he visited the crime scene and fingerprints were taken.
He also said the investigation is still going on while they are waiting for the results of the fingerprints.
