GS College students to compete in national competition
Thabo, a millwright apprentice, was the winner of the provincial competition
Messrs Thabo Mabaso of Gert Sibande Skills Academy and Doctor Shongwe of Gert Sibande Tvet College Ermelo Campus will be competing in the World Skills South Africa event in Durban from 14 to 16 February.
Thabo, a millwright apprentice, was the winner of the provincial competition held at the Gert Sibande Skills Academy in October last year, and Doctor, an electrical engineering student, was the runner-up.
Their performances in the provincial competition earned them a place in the national competition.
The winner of the competition will get a chance to go to Dubai.
