AfriForum and Standerton Police join forces

AfriForum and the Standerton Police have joined forces to combat crime in Standerton.

According to Mr Hillel Coetzer, AfriForum regional coordinator for western Mpumalanga, a cooperation agreement was signed between AfriForum (nationally) and Gen Khomotso Phahlane, acting police commissioner, in Centurion on 16 January.

Mr Coetzer said they took the agreement to Col Fanie Motubane, commanding officer of the Standerton Police, on 3 February.

Both parties agreed to a follow-up meeting to discuss the various problems that the town is facing.
