The Community Policing Forum (CPF) nabbed two men on 15 February who allegedly stole copper pipes.
According to the CPF, they apprehended them at the Standerton Taxi Rank.
“They were carrying the pipes in a black backpack,” Mr Charles Msibi of the CPF said.
He also said the men said they stole the pipes in Thuthukani after being questioned.
Apparently the alleged thieves were on their way to sell the pipes at a scrap yard.
The CPF handed them over to the Standerton Police.
A case of theft was opened.
The Standerton Police are investigating the case.
