John Dory’s supports Highveld Ridge SPCA

Local restaurants show their support by hosting fundraising events for deserving charities.

SECUNDA – The Highveld Ridge SPCA hosted a fundraising evening at John Dory’s in Secunda Mall on Thursday, 23 February.

John Dory’s regularly partners with local charity organisations and helps them to raise funds by allowing the charities to set up donation stations at the entrance to the restaurant and by giving the charities a percentage of the evening’s profit.

According to Ms Jenneth Geel, senior inspector at the Highveld Ridge SPCA, the society can not survive without this type of support from the community.

“Without the involvement and support of the local community, we can not go on doing the work we do.

“It is amazing to see the people come out even in the rain, to support our cause.

“We are also thankful for the continued support of local businesses, including John Dory’s.”

The next fundraising event will be held at the Spur on Tuesday, 28 March and at Panarotti’s on Wednesday, 26 April.
