Pay points will be open on 3 April
The Department of Social Development and the South Africa Social Security Agency (Sassa) were embroiled in a legal struggle

Beneficiaries awaiting their grants will be able to sleep peacefully now that the grants will be paid on 3 April.
The Department of Social Development and the South Africa Social Security Agency (Sassa) were embroiled in a legal struggle after the contract with Cash Paymaster Services (CPS) was declared unlawful by the Constitutional Court as far back as 2014.
The court however ruled recently that Sassa and CPS are under a constitutional obligation to continue paying social grants from 1 April until alternative arrangements are made.
Since 1 April falls on a Saturday, the department said pay points will be open the following Monday.
