A case of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm against Mr Johannes Ferreira has been withdrawn.
According the Perdekop Police, Mr Ferreira appeared in the Perdekop Magistrate’s Court on 28 March and the complainant withdrew the charge.
Mr Ferreira was arrested after one of his workers alleged that the farmer assaulted him with a hammer.
However, the police said he was later released with a warning.
The complainant alleged that an argument between them led to the attack.
The Perdekop community protested outside court when he appeared in court on 29 November last year.
