Mr Petrus Blignaut is expected to reappear in the Perdekop Magistrate’s Court on 4 April.
Mr Blignaut allegedly dug up the graves that belong to relatives of the residents on his farm.
According to the community, they tried to stop him, but were unsuccessful.
The police said some of the remains were clearly visible.

Mr Blignaut was arrested and later released on R500 bail.
The Perdekop community was present when Mr Blignaut made his first court appearance on 29 November last year when the case was postponed to 24 January.
