Man recovered from quarry near Robertsdrift Road, identified

The family decided to report him missing to the Sakhile Police on 27 March.

The 68-year-old Mr Thomas Paulos Dlamini was the man whose body was recovered in a quarry near the Robertsdrift Road close to Ext 2 on 4 April.

According to his family, Mr Dlamini was last seen early in the morning on 25 March.

“He woke up at 4am and made his bed and when I asked him why he was up so early, he said he could not sleep anymore,” Ms Sesi Dlamini, his sister, said.

According to her, Mr Dlamini often displayed symptoms relating to dissociative amnesia where he would have a breakdown of memory, consciousness, awareness, identity or/and perception.

She said her brother was nowhere to be seen when she was getting ready for work at 4.30am.
