Police have recovered stolen goods after a tip off from residents.
The goods were apparently stolen during a burglary over the Easter holidays and a case was opened when the home owner returned for the holiday.
The police were informed that goods were stored inside the abandoned and dilapidated former Eendracht school that was closed by the Department of Education.
On their arrival, the police found many electrical appliances such as a DSTV, a computer and a hi-fi, a lawn mower, clothes, pots, bicycle and food.
The recovered items were linked to the case opened on 18 April.
Police are still looking for the suspects and urged the community to come forward with information that may lead to the successful arrest of the perpetrators.
W/O Khuselwa Matrose from Leandra Police said is an increase in housebreakings in the area.
She further mentioned that in some of the cases, housesbreakings happened during the day when people are at work and school.
W/O Matrose urged the community to work hand in hand with the police to fight crime in the area.
