Body of baby girl found in drain
Police call on locals to help find the mother of child.
Local herdsmen discovered the body of a new-born baby girl in a sewage drain in Cow Village (2000) eMzinoni recently.
According to the police, they were busy with their daily duties when they noticed the body of the baby.
They contacted their boss who notified the police.
Capt Cynthia Mtaweni, police spokesman, said they opened an inquest and the police are investigating.
She urged women to follow the legal route of terminating pregnancies and whenever they want to get rid of their new-born babies.
