A taxi crashed into and killed a cow on the R23 Volksrust Road just moments ago.

According to the journalist on the scene, Ms Alida Lake, the driver and passenger only sustained minor injuries.

There is extensive damage to the vehicle.

Police, members of the traffic department as well the ambulance services are currently on the scene.
