A local guesthouse owner has expressed his dismay at a church group for blatantly “stealing” his advertising space on a signboard. A poster advertising a church gathering was pasted over the sign for which he pays a monthly rental fee.
“It costs me money to advertise here and they just come and cover it up. Now it costs me more money to have the signboard cleaned. It’s just not the right thing to do, especially not for a church group,” he said.
The Highvelder contacted the church group concerned and an apology was offered.
