Highveld Ridge SPCA’s animal food will be finished by weekend

“Our storerooms are empty and the animals just keep coming in”

The Highveld Ridge SPCA near Evander is in dire need of animal food.

“Our storerooms are empty and the animals just keep coming in.

“We have less than a week’s worth of food left for our dogs, five days’ worth for our cats and only three days of teff or the livestock,” explained a visibly distraught Ms Jenneth Geel, senior inspector, on Monday morning.

“We need dog food and cat food, but we also need specialised food like puppy food, kitten food, teff and hay for the horses, sheep and goats and vegetables for the pigs and geese.”

You can visit the Highveld Ridge SPCA Facebook page for banking details and a dedicated wishlist, setting out everything that the SPCA needs to continue doing their work.
