Man robbed at gunpoint in Rooikoppen

Three men made off with about R2 000 after robbing shop employee.

Three men allegedly robbed an employee at gunpoint in Rooikoppen, Ext 4 in Sakhile on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the employee, the robbers approached the shop to buy cigarettes.

When the cigarettes were handed over, a firearm was allegedly pointed at him and money demanded.

The employee gave them the money box, which allegedly contained about R2 000.

A case of armed robbery has been opened at the Sakhile Police Station.
