- Scarf up: Apart from a scarf keeping your neck warm, you can also accessorise to make a bold fashion statement. And yes, men can wear scarves too!

- Take a soothing bath: A bath will be sure to get your body temperature up, but use lukewarm water instead of hot water as hot water can cause irritated and dry skin, so keep moisturised!

- Keep the cold out: Make sure you insulate all the areas of your home where the cold might sneak in. Try using a towel underneath the door to keep the draft out.

- Get a heater: Depending on the size of the room you are occupying, this will get your warmed up in no time. Just be mindful of the electrical bill.
- Have a braai: If our great ancestors survived winters, surely fire played a vital role in keeping them warm. Fortunately for us, we can enjoy a braai while getting ourselves warmed up. NOTE – A braai should always be an option regardless of the weather.
