They urged Govan Mbeki Municipality to bring about a permanent solution and not to fill the holes with sand or soil.
The concerned motorists said not only are the potholes damaging their cars, but they can lead to fatal accidents.
“The potholes are a danger, because motorists have to swerve out to avoid them that could also lead to accidents.”
Ms Mavis Nsibande from the Economic Freedom Fighters said his party is concerned over the potholes and is wondering where the money allocated for road fixing has gone to.
“The roads in eMzinoni have exceeded their life span and have to be resurfaced.
“The municipality must fix this mess once and for all.”
Govan Mbeki Municipality did not comment at time of going to press.
