DA Youth leaders highlight importance of education
DA Youth leaders speak to the youth about the spirit of 1976 and the importance of education.
The DA Youth League hosted a Youth Day memorial in Lebohang on Friday, 16 June.
Mr Thulani Maseko, DA constituency youth leader, addressed the youth at an event held at the Extension 16 sport grounds in the RDP section of Lebohang.
He reminded young people of the importance of education and that a good education is the basis for success in their personal lives.
“Education was fought for by the 1976 youth and the responsibility now lies with the youth of today to make the most of their opportunities to uplift themselves,” Mr Maseko explained.
He urged the youth to pursue skills that would empower them to become future engineers, business owners and job creators.
“The DA is willing to assist dedicated young people to study further and to invest in their futures.
“Taking our own education seriously is the best way to honour those brothers and sisters who died while fighting for fair education policies.”
