Charity organisations, several local schools and day care centres still have no phone lines

Nearly a month after representatives from charity organisations and several local schools and day care centres in the Besterecta area in Secunda handed over letters to a national telephone company regarding bad service, nothing has changed.

These schools and organisations have been battling with no phone lines since July, even though they pay line fees monthly.

Some of the representatives have returned to the telephone company but only got more empty promises.

“We use our telephones to raise money and also for patients that need our help,” said Ms Ilse Cooper from Cansa.

“Now we will never know how many people needed us, but could not get hold of us.”

These organisations cannot contact their usual sponsors or clients.

Their Internet lines are also off.
