The Kinross swimming pool reopened after being closed for two years for renovations.

Govan Mbeki Municipality reopened the pool on 17 September after residents complained that it had been inaccessible for too long.

Ms Razia Roskuge is in charge of the swimming area and sells small snacks in her stall and safeguards the area.

She is qualified to assist anyone who might get into trouble at the pool.

The pool is open weekdays and weekends from 11am to 5pm and will be closed on Christmas Day.

Children asked that pool is open on New Year’s Day.

Thabang Lenena (11) said: “Since the pool has reopened, I am there almost every day and I enjoy diving into the pool with my friends.”

Children pay R2 and adults R3 to gain access to the swimming pool.
