Six underprivileged Sakhile families receiveD groceries at Stanwest Hall on 13 December.

The initiative is the brainchild of Mr Trevor Nkosi, Gert Sibande District Chip Whip.

The families were selected from Wards 3,5,7,11,12 and 15 in Sakhile.

“I was raised by a single mother in a poverty stricken home,” Mr Nkosi said.

“I cannot stand idly by when God has granted me the power to do something that can change a person’s life for the better.”

He further said, leaders must not wait for elections to do good, but that this should be an everyday action.

“Give without expecting anything in return.”

Ms Sthembile Khumalo, recipient from ward 3, was very grateful to Mr Nkosi and his team.

“We pray that God richly bless you with the desires of your heart,” she said.

Mr Nkosi reminded and called for safety on the roads and wished all in attendance a Merry Christmas, filled with love, joy, peace and happiness.
