Baby dies in accident on R29 in Kinross

Parents were transported to Evander Hospital.

KINROSS – A baby boy, believed to be 1 year old, was killed and two others sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious after a single vehicle rollover on the R29 in Kinross in Mpumalanga on 26 January.

When ER24 arrived on the scene just after 7pm, they found a light motor vehicle that had rolled and crashed through a wall.

Upon further assessment, paramedics found a baby lying outside the vehicle.

He had succumbed to his injuries and he was declared dead on the scene.

A man and a woman were still inside the vehicle.

The man had sustained serious injuries and the woman moderate injuries.

Both were transported by ER24 to Evander Hospital for further medical care.

The cause of the accident is not yet known.
