Ms Shirley Heavens (28), a self-taught make-up artist, is thriving as a businesswoman.

This single mother has allowed herself to embrace the creativity within herself.

Ms Heavens and her three siblings began a business to test their creative sides.

“I stumbled upon make-up. I initially did not want to do make-up, but once I began learning to do it properly by watching tutorials on YouTube, I have never looked back.”

Being in the business industry is tough, especially for women who want to get their foot in the door.

“I still have not found a balance between work and motherhood, because my work is demanding. I do however make time for my daughter to enjoy the finer things in life.”
