Donkey Derby, fundraising event hosted by five clubs

The Donkey Derby that was held on 27 February at Multilink in aide of provincial bowls players of the Highveld zone, was presented by more than one bowling club.

The provincial players who will be taking part in the South African Inter District Bowling Championship. In front are Annette van Ryneveld, Patrys Becker, Dina Kymdell and Sunette Claassen. At the back are Lanie Nel, Jimmy Holloway, Vaino Prinsloo and Fritz Olmersdahl.

The fundraising event was organised by the Mpumalanga Bowls Association and the five clubs in the Highveld Zone, namely Bethal, Sasol, Standerton, Ermelo and Vrede.

The three zones in Mpumalanga are the Highveld, Central and Lowveld.

While Multilink sponsored the venue and the food, the provincial players, members of the Sasol Bowling Club and Multilink employees served as waiters and workers at the event.
