Going Green Secunda organised a cleaning up campaign at the Duck Pond on Saturday, 3 February.
AfriForum took hands with the group and gave each resident who took part in the campaign, a free boerewors roll and cold drink.
Kalahari Slaghuis sponsored the boerewors rolls.
Ms Kheya Samuels, organiser of the event, said: “We use grain bags instead of plastic bags when we clean up because they are stronger and more environmental friendly.”
She thanked everyone who supported the project, specifically AfriForum, for their support.
