The young farmer from Breyten decided to add variety to his farm by planting maize meal.

The Masizakhe Secondary School product was recruited by the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Land Administration (DARDLA) in 2013, where he joined the Narysec programme, a 24 month skills development programme which targets unemployed rural youth.

After successfully finishing his internship, DARDLA allocated 40 hectares of land and after receiving funding, he planted sugar beans.
