Be part of the Power of Purple, the Cansa Relay for Life, in Secunda
The money raised will be used by the local Cancer Association's (Cansa) branch for education, care and support services.
SECUNDA – If you have not yet entered a team for the 2018 Cansa Relay for Life, do not despair.
The relay takes place on 17 and 18 March at Highveld Ridge Primary School.
This means you still have time to convince your colleagues and friends to team up to form a team of 10 to 15 people.
The entry fee is R500 per team which also must raise R1 000 each.
The money raised will be used by the local Cancer Association’s (Cansa) branch for education, care and support services.
The local branch is dependent on donations and local initiatives to maintain the support services they render to cancer patients.
This year’s relay focuses on the power of purple and is being steered by Ms Natasha Philpott, an employee of Cansa.
“We plan to bring you some new entertainment and we also have some great prizes up for grabs,” said Ms Philpott.
She encouraged cancer survivors to register their attendance of the survivor function where they are the guests of honour.
